Education is at the heart of our care . . .
We will implement the Early Years Foundation Stage throughout the nursery day. This emphasises the importance of good relations; including those with parents, children, staff and the wider community. We therefore aim to form strong working relationships with every nursery child and their family.
In order to meet the individual needs of the children attending Stepping Stones we promise to keep a Learning Journey of their play and learning experiences.
Digital photographs and written observations form part of your child’s Learning Journey, along with paintings, collages, drawings, mark making and writing. These act as a lasting memory of nursery life.
Our facilities include a well resourced enclosed outdoor play area, that offers free flow play opportunities between the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
The outdoor play area provides stimulating activities to promote all areas of learning, however, the children are particularly fond of our wonderful mud kitchen!
In addition to our outdoor play area, children regularly access the field area for large physical activities such as parachute games, running races and ball games.
Inside, our classroom area offers "an inspiring learning environment for children" (Ofsted, May 2017). The classroom is vibrant and inviting, with a wide range of activities available daily, including, sensory play, mark making, role play and construction.
We are delighted with our OUTSTANDING Ofsted report (May 2017) and would love for you to read it too. Please follow the link below to read our Ofsted Report:
